cd release

Pete Madsen’s Thanksgiving weekend ended abruptly this morning when he discovered three precious guitars were stolen from his music studio at 3501 Adeline Street.  A working musician, writer, and teacher, Pete performs frequently throughout the Bay Area and teaches finger-style guitar at the 5th String.  Audiences see his early blues, ragtime, and slide guitar performances frequently at Berkeley’s restaurants and coffeehouses.

Pete’s lost guitars represent not only his livelihood but also milestones in his musical evolution. They were stolen between November 26 and November 30.  He asks for help in tracking them down:

  • Martin 2008 OOO28EC w/Fishman Elipse pickup system, serial #1299075
  • Gibson SG Classic(Red) w/p90 pickups, serial #00370624
  • Sea Foam green Stratocaster – non fender w/warmoth neck (no markings to indicate brand), no serial number
