There will be a foodie fest in north Berkeley on the evening of Wednesday March 24 to benefit a select group of  East Bay charities, including the Berkeley Food and Housing Project.

“A Taste of North Berkeley’s Gourmet Ghetto: Benefit for Food and Social Justice” is being organized by the North Shattuck Association and the Berkeley Lions Club and runs from 6-9pm.

It features a  “Restaurant Walk” between Hearst and Rose along Shattuck Avenue which takes in a host of Gourmet Ghetto eateries including Bistro Liaison, Cioccolata Di Vino, Fertile Grounds Café, Firehouse North Gallery, Trattoria Corso, Party Sushi, Café Gratitude, Sala Berkeley Boutique, Thai Delight Cuisine, Taste of the Himalayas, Poulet, Crepevine, Chick-O-Pea’s, Barney’s, Gregoire, Andronico’s Market, Cha-Am Thai, M. Lowe & Co. Jewelers, Mint Leaf, Alegio Chocolaté, Imperial Tea Court, Picoso Taqueria, SOOP, Kirala 2, Vintage Berkeley Wines, Chester’s Restaurant and Bar, Saul’s Deli and Lo Coco’s Restaurant.
