Although yesterday was the official Earth Day, Berkeley will hold a five-hour celebration tomorrow in Civic Center Park.

In addition to live dance and music performances, the event will include demonstrations of biodiesel and electric cars, the Berkeley farmers’ market, a climbing wall, and community and craft booths. The Bicycle Friendly Berkeley Coalition (BFBC) is providing free, secure bike valet parking.

BFBC is also holding a Kidical Mass ride from Albany Memorial Park to the Berkeley Earth Day celebration, starting at noon. They promise an easy, family-friendly three-mile bike ride.
