Berkeley High School’s Girls Basketball team captured the Norcal Division I championship victory tonight in Sacramento when it beat the Carondelet Cougars from Concord 68-57. The win takes the Yellowjackets to 31-1 for the season. Their only loss was to Carondelet in the regular season.

The Yellowjackets now head to their second consecutive state championship game. Go Jackets!

  1. @ Melanie..I also am a Cal WBB season ticket holder and saw Brittany play at BHS a couple of weeks ago in anticipation of her becoming a Bear…also being a BHS alum made me proud to see them do so well. Go Jackets!

  3. FYI, Also another Berkeley team, the girls team of St Mary’s College High School of Berkeley won the D-4 Norcal title and will be playing for the state title on Sat Mar 26th at 9:30. This is the 3rd year in a row they have won their division and hopefully this year they will bring the title back to Berkeley.

  4. Congrats to the Lady Jackets! These talented and hard working young women are adding a new chapter to the already storied tradition of girl’s basketball at Berkeley High. On to the State Championship!
