  1. Interesting article about the settlements that the City Council is approving.

    The uneven sidewalk lawsuits are especially interesting, since many of the Berkeley neighborhoods I’ve lived in seem plagued with the kind of uneven sidewalks that caused the injury in that case.

    I wonder if the City needs to re-think their planting guidelines for medians, or at least restrict median tree species to only those which have root growth that tends to not damage sidewalks.
